Thank you for publishing Quinn Kenney’s excellent Aug. 8 op-ed, “On the contrary, Laurel Libby is no hero.” It was accurate and honest.

Kenney’s summation of a local state representative jumping on a political train to national attention by endangering a high school kid exposes the dangers of unchallenged bigotry. Those who, like Libby, purport to be “…more equal than others…” as Orwell famously put it, should never make public policy.
