In his op-ed defending his reputation against a charge of racism (“Cancellation by defamation will not work in Maine,” Aug 10), Republican candidate for governor Robert B. Charles said “Talk to me, do not sully me.” I wonder, did he talk to Maine Rep. Deqa Dhalac, D-South Portland, before he sullied her name?
