Greyson Dooley, Messalonskee sophomore: Dooley is one of three returning Eagles who played in last year’s Class A championship. He tied for eighth with an 80. Dooley shot rounds of 80, 75 and 78 last week at the Charlie’s Maine Open.
Eddie Goff, Skowhegan senior: Goff shots an 83 at the Class A championship in 2024, tying for 21st place. At the KVAC qualifier, he tied for second with a 77. Coach Dave Martin said Goff worked on his short game this summer.
Josh Herzing, Maranacook junior: Herzing helped the Black Bears win the Class C championship by shooting an 84, which was good for sixth place in the individual tournament. He shot an 85 in the MVC shootout.
Gavin Jackson, Messalonskee junior: Jackson shot an 81 at the Class A championships, tying for 11th place.
Lydia Jones, Skowhegan senior: Jones finished fifth among Class A girls last year with a 91. She’s been shooting between 39 and 41 for nine holes, according to coach Dave Martin.
Liam McFadden, Messalonskee senior: McFadden tied for 31st place at last year’s Class A championship, shooting an 86.
Drew Mertzel, Winthrop freshman: Mertzel played in the Charlie’s Maine Open last week, where he had rounds of 80, 78 and 81. He finished second in the 14-15-year-old flight at the Maine Junior Championship with a score of 160 for two rounds.
Brady Peacock, Gardiner senior: Peacock helped the Tigers win the Class B championship last year, tying for 13th place in the individual standings with an 86.
Jack Quinn, Gardiner senior: Last year’s Varsity Maine Player of the Year had an outstanding summer, finishing ninth at the Maine Amateur and in a tie for 10th at the Charlie’s Maine Open. He won the Class B state championship in 2024 with a 76.
Phil Skoczylas, Kents Hill senior: Skoczylas was the Huskies’ leading scorer at the Class C championship last year with an 86. He tied for 11th place.
