A Richmond man died Tuesday when his vehicle went off the road in Richmond and rolled over at about 9:30 a.m.
Police say Thomas Goodall, 53, was driving south on River Road/state Route 24 south of Gaubert Cemetery when his Buick sport utility vehicle left the road.
Goodall was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, Richmond police Chief James Donnell said.
The road was briefly closed.
Donnell said Goodall was not wearing a seatbelt and speed was a factor in the crash.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s deputies, Richmond Fire Department and Gardiner Ambulance also responded. The crash is being reconstructed by the Brunswick Police Department.
