A Norridgewock woman faces Class B robbery and other charges after being arrested in connection with the June 20 robbery of D&L Country store in that town.
Jasmine Jenness-Humphrey, 30, allegedly went to the store at 573 Smithfield Road before 10 a.m., demanded a store employee give her money from the cash drawer and threatened to use a weapon, Oakland police Chief Rick Stubbert said in a statement Monday.
Oakland police Detective Tifani Warren, with help from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office’s detective division, identified the suspect through the investigation as Jenness-Humphrey.
Oakland police were called to the store after the robbery, where employees reported a female had left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, Stubbert said.
Warren consulted with the Kennebec County District Attorney’s Office, and an arrest warrant was issued Sept. 4 for Jenness-Humphrey, he said.
Waterville police took her into custody on Friday without incident, he said.
Jenness-Humphrey was charged with robbery, Class B; criminal mischief, Class D; and
theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, Class E, Stubbert said.
A spokesman at Kennebec County Jail in Augusta said at 1 p.m. Tuesday that Jenness-Humphrey was in the process of being bailed out of the jail. Her bail was $1,060 cash, he said.
