
The Kingston Trio
The Kingston Trio will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Waldo Theater, 916 Main St., Waldoboro.
All three current members — Mike Marvin, Tim Gorelangton and Buddy Woodward — have intrinsic links to and experience with the original group. Marvin is the adopted son of founding member Nick Reynolds, who was also his musical mentor. Gorelangton, a close friend since boyhood, is one of the few musicians outside the trio who has recorded with Nick Reynolds. Woodward has performed with longtime Kingston Trio member George Grove. They’ll perform such timeless classics as “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?” and “Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley.”

Bulla en el Barrio
Bulla en el Barrio has planned an immersive evening of bullerengue, the vibrant traditional music of Colombia’s Caribbean coast, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts, 5670 Mayflower Hill Drive, Waterville.
Founded and led by Carolina Oliveros and Camilo Rodriguez, the group brings the participatory spirit of the traditional rueda de bullerengue to life — an inclusive event where everyone is welcome to clap, sing, dance and socialize while learning from this ancestral music practice.

Matt Fraser
Psychic medium Matt Fraser will take the stage at 8 p.m. Friday at the Waterville Opera House, 1 Common St., Waterville.
Fraser is the star of the hit television series “Meet the Frasers” on E! Entertainment.

Tavern Night
The fourth annual Tavern Night is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday at Old Fort Western, 8 Cony St., Augusta.
The event, at the S&W Howard Store at the historic Kennebec River fort, is scheduled one day after the living history museum hosts the daylong Arnold 250th Anniversary Lecture Series along with the Arnold Expedition Historical Society, marking the start of Col. Benedict Arnold’s ill-fated march to take Quebec that launched from Pittston.

Heartless
Heartless, a tribute to Ann Wilson of Heart, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Somerset Abbey, 98 Main St., Madison.
Heartless tours the upper East Coast and New England with a goal of playing each song as a true to live version of Heart’s performances.

Chase Winn and the Chicken Street Band
The Vienna Union Hall is set to host Chase Winn and the Chicken Street Band at 7 p.m. Saturday at 5 Mountain Road, Vienna.
Winn is a songwriter and performer from western Maine. His style blends folk, country and blues influences to create an Americana sound reflective of where he resides.
He is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player for Starks-based group The Chicken Street Band.
He blends stomp and holler folk elements such as The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, and The Ghost of Paul Revere with a strong influence of indie country acts like Tyler Childers and Jason Isbell.
He has played all over Maine from Aroostook County to Carabassett Valley, both solo and with The Chicken Street Band. He’s been featured at Harry’s Hill, The Nordic Trail Festival.

Kathy Mattea
Kathy Mattea will perform 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor.
Mattea has enjoyed much success during her 40-year career in country, bluegrass and folk music.
In addition to creating and recording music and performing live on tour, she is increasingly involved with public broadcasting, consulting and contributing on screen in Ken Burns’ 2019 documentary for PBS Country Music, and recently replacing founder Larry Groce as the host of the long-running NPR show Mountain Stage.

Shemekia Copeland
The Waterville Opera House will host Shemekia Copeland at 8 p.m. Saturday at 1 Common St., Waterville.
Copeland possesses one of the most instantly recognizable and deeply soulful roots music voices of our time.
Her new album, “Blame It On Eve,” brings an array of songs that all hit hard, with performances that instantly take hold and command repeated listening.

Dinner in the Park
The annual Dinner in the Park is set for 5-10 p.m. Saturday at Coburn Park, U.S. Route 2, Skowhegan.
Those who attend will experience an outdoor dining experience and a sky lit up with fireworks in the park. The evening will include a cocktail hour, locally sourced buffet dinner, live auction, live music, and fireworks over the river.

Songwriters in the Round
Songwriters in the Round is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Chesterville Center Union Meeting House, 3 Borough Road, Chesterville.
Maine songwriters Jud Caswell, Ruth Hill, Darby Sabin and Sara Trunzo will perform. The recording artists in their own right each has remarkable back stories.
The stage set up is simple: four chairs, four microphones, and four outstanding songwriters to share their music, their lyrics, and their collective artistry with deep musical roots reaching into folk and acoustic, country, blues, soul and rock.
Light refreshments between sets will be available.
