Falmouth didn’t show up in the first Varsity Maine girls soccer poll of the season two weeks ago. Last week, it ranked fifth. The Navigators have jumped all the way to No. 1 in the latest set of rankings.

Falmouth keeps rising because it keeps winning. The Navigators followed their Sept. 12 victory over then-No. 2 Scarborough (now No. 4) with victories last week over Portland and previously unbeaten Westbrook.

The Navigators are one of three Class A teams with neither a loss nor a tie. The others are Kennebunk, which jumped even farther than Falmouth by going from unranked last week to No. 3, and Thornton, which now ranks ninth. No. 10 Yarmouth also jumps into the poll this week.

The Varsity Maine girls soccer poll is based on games played before Sept. 23, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
