I have some questions for supporters of the voter ID ballot question.

What is the rate of voter “fraud” in Maine? Were they part of a targeted effort to swing an election? If so, how?

How does Maine voter fraud compare to other states? Are they aware of the laws pertaining to regular and absentee voting?

Why do they believe there is a problem?

Explore who is behind the effort and why they want laws to stop something that isn’t a problem. Military folks, homebound folks, nursing home residents, hospitalized folks, working folks and many others rely on the absentee ballot system to exercise their constitutional rights to vote. If we believe that this could wrongly prevent us, family members or anyone else from legally voting, then we need to vote “No.”

As Americans, we should be making voting easier instead of throwing up barriers without solid reasoning.
