For half a decade, Peter and Karie Faucher of Winthrop have created an annual Halloween display filled with repurposed materials. It’s all scrap wood, PVC pipes, random stuff and heaps of imagination.
It takes the Fauchers the entire month of September to assemble the display at their home on Lakeshore Drive. The end result will offer a Halloween display full of lights, moving parts, and even a Ferris wheel, with the only store-bought elements being the “skellies,” as Peter Faucher puts it.
Karie Faucher hopes their house will get at least 200 visitors on Halloween. They say past years’ visitors have reportedly gone out of their way on the holiday in order to see the display.
