The world’s biggest pop star wants everybody to come to her party, and plenty of Maine theaters and venues are helping her out.

Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” will be released on Friday along with a filmed event showing at theaters nationwide. The film is called “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” and is slated to be in theaters through Sunday. It features the world premiere of the music video “The Fate of Ophelia,” along with Swift’s reflections on making the album.

The film will be playing in theaters all over Maine, including Nickelodeon Cinemas in Portland, Entertainment Luxury Cinemas in South Portland, Apple Cinemas in Westbrook and Saco, the Maine Film Center in Waterville and Flagship Cinemas in Auburn, Falmouth, Thomaston, Waterville and Wells.

Several Portland-area venues and businesses also will be hosting parties and events this weekend to celebrate her 12th studio album. Here are some of the local celebrations Swifties can attend.

Taylor Swift Album Release & Bracelet Party

6-8 p.m. Friday at Maine Warrior Gym, 333 Clarks Pond Parkway, South Portland. This free event will feature the album playing on repeat while people string together colorful friendship bracelets. Kids can play on the Ninja Warrior gym during the party.

Taylor Swift Life of a Showgirl Launch Party

Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Gooeygump Designs, 1026 Forest Ave., Portland. This home decor and gift shop is hosting a party with music, a selfie station, a “glam bar,” snacks and surprises.

Kids’ Night Out: Taylor Swift Album Release Party

5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at MePowered Pastries, 2 Stewart Drive, Suite 103, Scarborough. Kids ages 4-10 can participate in this Swift-inspired baking session, with singing, playing and dancing, too. The price is $60 and includes take-home treats.

The Party of a Showgirl: A TS12 Celebration

9 p.m. Saturday at Portland House of Music, 25 Temple St., Portland. The party will feature a DJ playing the album, along with some other of Swift’s hits. Tickets are $20.84 online, in advance.

Taylor Swift: The Hits Drag Brunch

11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Batson River Brewing & Distilling, 82 Hanover St., Portland. Chartreuse Money will lead a roster of local and guest performers. There will be two rounds of seating, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $25.

‘The Life of a Showgirl’ All Ages Party

8 p.m. Oct. 10 at Happy Wheels Skate Center, 3 Chabot St., Westbrook. Swift songs will be played the entire time. Admission is $15, and skate rentals are $4.

Taylor Swift Dance Party

9 p.m. Oct. 17 at Aura, 121 Center St., Portland. Songs from all her albums will be played at this 18-plus event, and there will be glitter, friendship bracelets and more. Tickets are $15.
