About Our Guest

Dr. Timothy Pieh is an emergency medicine physician who treats patients in the emergency departments at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta and Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. He also serves as assistant medical director of emergency medicine at MaineGeneral Medical Center, focusing on disaster preparedness and relationships with area EMS providers. Dr. Pieh’s professional interests include EMS medical director, disaster preparedness, point of care ultrasound and teaching. A member of MGMC’s active staff, he has practiced locally since 2003.
About Our Moderator
Hannah Kaufman covers health, hospitals and access to care in central Maine. She is on the first health reporting team at the Maine Trust for Local News, looking at state and federal changes through the eyes of patients. Hannah received a journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and has finally forgiven Cooper Flagg for playing for Duke. She has been known to write a feature story, watch a movie, swim in a lake and have a palindrome for a name.
