Chris Fleming has struck comedy gold in a number of ways. His YouTube channel has racked up more than 80 million views, thanks to his hilarious 40-episode Gayle Waters-Waters series. Fleming also has appeared in episodes of ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” and Comedy Central’s “Corporate” and is known for the stand-up special “Chris Fleming: Live at Union Hall.” Expect a quirky, hilarious night of laughs from a comic with a keen eye for observation.

Hey Party People: All Fall Down

Hey Party People! is a Portland-based sketch comedy group. They’ve been featured in Philly Sketchfest, The Portland Maine Comedy Festival and PortFringe. Here’s a chance to see them do their thing with original short sketches. The antics will be fast-paced, and the laughter nonstop.

‘Eureka Day’

Everyman Repertory Theatre presents the Maine premiere of Jonathan Spector’s Tony Award-winning play “Eureka Day.” In a true art-imitates-life moment, the story unfolds at the Eureka Day School in California, known for its progressive leanings and prioritizing of representation and social justice. But when a mumps outbreak threatens the entire community, facts are called into question, and the school’s leaders must find consensus in a landscape mired with multiple takes on what is true.

The annual Swine & Stein Brewfest in downtown Gardiner draws enthusiastic droves of people who love beer, pork and fun. The day also features live music, food vendors and samples from more than 20 breweries, wineries, distilleries and meaderies. Swine & Stein includes competitions like the frozen T-shirt race; rock, paper, scissors championship; and beard and mustache competition.

Hokus Pokus Live!

Kick Halloween season into high gear at Hokus Pokus Live!, with drag superstars Ginger Minj, Sapphira Cristal, Jujubee and Landon Cider. The show is a love letter to the 1993 fantasy comedy film “Hocus Pocus.” Minj portrayed a drag version of Midler’s Winifred character in the 2022 sequel, earning mad props from Midler. From this exchange, Hokus Pokus Live! was born, and you can expect a wild night of laughter, drag artistry and huge vocal performances from a cast of drag queens and kings.

Light a fire beneath your Saturday or Sunday night by seeing blues luminary Ruthie Foster. Foster won a Best Contemporary Blues Album Grammy earlier this year for “Mileage.” With influences that include Mavis Staples and Aretha Franklin, Foster has a warm, full voice that moves from blues to gospel and a sound that’s all her own.
