Raymond R. Berry
MOUNT VERNON – Raymond R. Berry, 86, of Mount Vernon, died at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta on Sept, 22, 2025.
He was born in Dover, NH on May 24, 1939, to Wilfred and Cecile Berry. Raymond graduated from Gardiner High School in 1958 and Farmers School of Cooking in Boston in 1959.
He served in the Army at Fort Gordon, Ga.
Raymond married Jacqueline Fairfield of Augusta on August 20, 1960. He was the owner of Lucky Strike Lanes and Cobbossee National Restaurant in Gardiner and Lucky’s Pizza and Ice Cream in Hallowell.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Jonathan Berry; and brother, Bill Berry.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline; two sons Scott (Chrissy) Berry of Cape Coral, Fla. and Jason Berry of Seal Beach, Calif., daughter-in-law Liz of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren; and a sister Joan Franklin of Zephyrhills, Fla.
A celebration of life will be held in November with a time and place to be announced.
