We need to stand up for our democracy. We are watching it be destroyed. SCOTUS gave the president permission to do whatever he wants, so he tries to take freedom of speech from anyone who disagrees with him, and tries to turn our own military against us.
We are against violence. Hunters may need rifles to hunt food, but predators do not need assault weapons to hunt people. We need to ban them again.
When a person spews anti-democratic propaganda at children, we need to call it out as wrong. Murder is a crime, but idolizing hatred only begets more crime.
Please do not let this hatred take over our town. Our 1748 home was built before the Revolutionary War. We fought for freedom and won. Now we need to fight again, peacefully, or we will lose our freedoms of speech, diversity, religion, democracy and even our Constitution.
This is not the world we want to leave our children, or our grandchildren, or yours.
