Yarmouth, Sanford and Mt. Ararat are the three upward movers in the latest Varsity Maine field hockey poll.

The unbeaten Clippers slid up a notch to second after being tied for third last week. Sanford suffered a setback against top-ranked Cheverus, but the voters moved the Spartans up two spots to No. 6. Finally, the Eagles join the rankings at No. 9 after a 2-1 victory over No. 7 Freeport and a draw with No. 3 Skowhegan.

Cheverus solidified its standing at the top, receiving all but one first-place vote and increasing its lead to 18 points.

The Varsity Maine field hockey poll is based on games played before Oct. 14, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
