Cape Elizabeth keeps winning and so it keeps rising in the Varsity Maine girls soccer poll. The 11-0 Capers again received two first-place votes and are now tied for second with Falmouth, whose ranking was only slightly impacted by its first loss of the season, 1-0 against Gorham on Friday.
Bangor is ranked first for the third consecutive week, but the Rams have opened up a 14-point lead after Falmouth and Cape Elizabeth closed the gap last week.
Yarmouth, which has won all of its games except the two against Cape Elizabeth, moves into the poll at No. 7 after impressive wins over Freeport and No. 9 Mt. Ararat.
The Varsity Maine girls soccer poll is based on games played before Oct. 14, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
