Jamie Hering and Will Swain both scored twice Wednesday to lead Mt. Abram to a 4-1 win over Buckfield in a Mountain Valley Conference boys soccer match at Buckfield.
Killian Pillsbury and Brennan Mitchell chipped in with a goal apiece as Mt. Abram improved to 7-3-2. The Roadrunners are ranked third in the Western Class C Heal point standings.
Aidan Stoodley netted a goal for Buckfield (7-5-1), assisted by Austin Verrill. The Bucks are ranked fourth in Class D South with one game remaining.
Owen Cook and Ben Beaulier combined to make three saves for the Roadrunners. Buckfield’s Neil Haylock stopped 19 shots.
RICHMOND 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Cody Fournier scored in each half as the Bobcats (5-7-1) defeated the Phoenix (1-10-1) in Richmond.
Elijah Hackett and Liam Dufresne each added a goal and Sully McDaniel had two assists. One of Fournier’s goals was a penalty kick.
Wyatt Foss converted a penalty kick for Spruce Mountain.
Richmond keeper David Edwards turned aside five shots, while Spruce Mountain’s Blake Gemelli made four saves.
LEAVITT 2, ERSKINE ACADEMY 1: Jacob Gibbs scored the tying goal just before halftime and Serogzha Bezehnar netted a second-half goal for the Hornets (9-3) in a win over the Eagles (6-4-3) in Turner.
Antonio Peralta recorded an assist for Leavitt.
Wyatt Michaud scored for Erskine.
Luke Horn stopped 12 shots for the Hornets. Erskine’s Bryce St. Onge made 10 saves.
