Casey Francis Brougham
MANCHESTER – Casey Francis Brougham, 55, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at MGMC in Augusta. In recent years, Casey battled health conditions that led to heart failure and his unexpected passing.
Casey was born in Farmington, Jan. 15, 1970, a son of Mary (Mooar) and Edward “Ted” Brougham. He graduated from Maranacook Community School in Readfield in 1988 and from UMA with a degree in Business Management. He worked at the Kennebec Journal and loved to tell stories about his days delivering newspapers and as a regional manager. He then went on to run his own insurance agency, Brougham Insurance.
He was funny, caring, smart, and generous. He was a big kid at heart who honestly and deeply cared about the people in his life, no matter the situation. Being with family brought him great joy. He enjoyed low-key times with friends and family, game nights at home, relaxing by the campfire, and weekly breakfast outings. A yearly highlight was going to the family timeshare at the Samoset Resort. He was a car and gun collector who had a lot of cool stuff.
Casey is survived by his brothers Terry (Nancy) and Brian (Debbie); niece Nicole (Ted) and nephews Josh (Abby) and Chris (Danielle); and great-nieces and nephews Jayden, Layla, Kennedy, Bryleigh, and Connor. He did not have children, but he was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many lifelong friends and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his mother, father; and many aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 26 from noon to 5 p.m., with lunch served at 1 p.m., at the Manchester Lions Club, on Clubhouse Drive off Route 17, in Manchester.
Memories may be shared in his Book of Memories at http://www.wilesrc.com. Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington is honored to be providing cremation services.
