Many recent letters have said that Gov. Janet Mills is too old to serve as a senator. She is only 77. Susan Collins is 72. Donald Trump is 79. (One politician draws the largest attendance for political rallies: Bernie Sanders, age 84.)
Go to the internet site “State of Maine, Office of Governor Janet T. Mills” to find her background, experience, accomplishments and policies. The evidence is clear: no one is better qualified to be our senator.
President Biden, an “old” man of high integrity, wisdom, lifelong dedication to the laws, a truly compassionate man, chose a replacement to continue our progress. What a difference it would be to follow that “old man’s harmony,” compared to the chaos, cruelty and complete disregard for the Constitution and human rights now, using incompetent “younger” individuals heading federal departments.
