AUGUSTA – Marcia Lee (Dykstra) Bilbrey passed away in Augusta on Oct. 15, 2025, at 7:20 p.m. after a very short battle with infection and septic shock, with multiple prior health issues contributing.

Marcia was born in Zeeland, Mich. to William and Clarice Dykstra on Feb. 15, 1955. She lived and worked in the legal field in several states across the USA, including Michigan, Texas, Ohio, California, and Maryland. In retirement, she took up machine quilting with a strong passion. In 2021, she moved north to Maine, for a quieter, more rural lifestyle.

Over the last few years, while Marcia kept her primary focus on her quilting … obsession, she found time to improve her bass fishing skills, take over the veggie gardening tasks, and had slowly started building up new friendships and associations within the community up here in Maine. Marcia loved her new home town.

She is survived by her siblings Karen and Richard from Michigan, Susan from California, and Nancy from Maine, as well as her husband Brian Bilbrey. Marcia and Brian were married on June 30, 1998, and every day shared was a joy and a blessing.
