Multiple lethal strikes on water craft on the high seas, a steady and significant buildup of forces, with about 10,000 troops at sea and on shore (including 2,200 Marines, air bases housing F-35 fighter jets, MQ-Reaper drones and a variety of other surveillance planes and personnel, off-coast B-52 “show of force” flights, covert CIA operations,” couched threats of land invasion and implied regime change.

At what point should such activities rise to the level of concern sufficient to at least nudge House and Senate Republicans to deem it sufficiently provocative (and dangerous) to merit a response?

Or, do we, as a nation, condemn such behavior only when “others” act thusly?

One might ask, at what point is Congress going to step up and reclaim its collective authority (and responsibility) to rein in the overreach being perpetrated by the current occupant of the White House?
