The early playoff results haven’t had much of an impact on the Varsity Maine field hockey poll. All 10 teams in last week’s poll are still alive, and all 10 are still ranked.

In fact, the only change that could kind of be considered major is that No. 2 Skowhegan and No. 3 Yarmouth have swapped places. Other than that, the only differences are that Mt. Blue, rather than being seventh, is tied with Mt. Ararat for sixth, and that Sanford has moved from ninth into a tie for eighth with Freeport.

Cheverus is No. 1 for the fifth straight week and added another first-place vote.

The Varsity Maine field hockey poll is based on games played before Oct. 30, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.

FIELD HOCKEY
1. Cheverus (8) 89
2. Skowhegan 69
3. Yarmouth (1) 66
4. Belfast 61
5. Biddeford 58
6. Mt. Ararat 35
6. Mt. Blue 35
8. Freeport 20
8. Sanford 20
10. Lewiston 15
