High school sports coverage is proudly supported by Maine State Credit Union.

In what may be a first for Varsity Maine polls across all sports, three teams – Camden Hills, Falmouth and Scarborough – share the No. 1 position in this week’s girls soccer Top 10.
All three teams received two first-place votes and 75 total points.
As a further example of the lack of agreement about which team is the best in Maine, Cape Elizabeth received the most first-place votes but is fourth overall with 71 points.
The remainder of the top 10 remains the same, including Mt. Ararat and Hermon still tied for ninth.
The Varsity Maine girls soccer poll is based on games played before Oct. 30, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
