A Caroline Cotter concert is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at The Underground Lounge, 17 Court St., Belfast.
Cotter’s songs honor the countless ways of being human. She sings about connection, nostalgia, gratitude, loss and wanderlust. Lyrics like, “Find me somewhere out on the road / Take me into your heart and into your home,” make sense from a touring artist who has played over 1,000 shows in 45 states and 16 countries.
She has released three records, “Dreaming as I Do” (2015), “Home on the River” (2018) and “Gently as I Go” (2023).

Iam Tongi
A Iam Tongi concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Waldo Theatre, 916 Main St., Waldoboro.
Tongi is a Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter and the Season 21 champion of “American Idol.”
His mother secretly signed him up for “American Idol,” and after the viral audition performance of James Blunt’s “Monsters” became one of the show’s all time emotional highlights, he went on to win Season 21.
His new music marks a creative transition leaning into his cultural heritage and musical roots — but also the man he’s become.

“The Game’s Afoot”
Monmouth Community Players is set to present “The Game’s Afoot” at Cumston Hall, 796 Main St., Monmouth.

About the play: It is December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous.

Hildaland
A concert featuring Hildaland, Louise Bichan and Ethan Setiawan is planned for 7 p.m. Friday at Old South Church, 235 Main St., Farmington.
The duo creates a fusion of Scottish and American traditional music.
Fiddle player Louise Bichan, originally from Orkney, Scotland, and mandolinist Ethan Setiawan, originally from Goshen, Indiana, have taken their duo from traditional Scottish roots through to progressive bluegrass and jazz, with music inspired largely by places and the journeys between them, both physical and musical.

The Bookey Readings
The Bookey Readings are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey Public Library, 39 Bowdoin St., Winthrop.
The poetry series originally started at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell over 25 years ago. The event features local and renowned poets and musicians every 2nd Saturday of the month in a warm and welcoming reading room.
