Thornton Academy again is the unanimous No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine football top 10 after posting its third win against a top-five opponent, 27-14 over Noble.

Thornton, whose only loss was against New Hampshire powerhouse Bedford, now has victories over No. 2 Bonny Eagle, No. 4 Portland and No. 5 Noble. Portland and Noble swapped positions in this week’s poll after Noble’s loss and Portland’s triumph over South Portland.

Cony, the only undefeated team in Class B, remained in third place.

The only new team in the top 10 is Falmouth, which is now ninth. Bangor dropped out after losing to unranked Oxford Hills.

The Varsity Maine football poll is based on games played before Nov. 4, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
