After a thrilling five-set win over York in the Class B volleyball state championship match, Washington Academy ends the season as the No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine poll, just ahead of three-time Class A champion Gorham.

The Raiders received six of nine first-place votes after avenging their only loss. Gorham received the other three first-place votes after beating Thornton Academy in the Class A final, while York dropped from first place to third.

Narraguagus finished the season as the state’s only undefeated team and moved up to sixth place. The Knights won the inaugural Class D championship after winning in Class C in 2023 and 2024.

The Varsity Maine volleyball poll is based on games played before Nov. 4, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
