Donald Trump doesn’t have an agenda to solve problems. Instead, he offers a platform for his supporters to air their grievances.
Trump wants to destroy his political opponents. He ignores our democratic institutions. He has demonized Black people, Hispanic people, gays and anyone else who opposes him.
So, why do people support him? Trump has convinced his supporters that their way of life is under attack, and he is the only one who can save them. He wants to take us back to an America that never existed. This is eerily reminiscent of the fascist movements in Italy and Germany.
So, what can we do? Stay informed. Work at a community level. We will survive Donald Trump.
