One thing I am noticing is the very simple fact that the president, members of Congress and Cabinet members are not functioning in the designated spirit of the oath of office they took. I would simply say they are all acting in a very un-American manner.
The big line in their oath, “support and protect the Constitution of the United States,” has fallen out of favor. I am seeing a lot of subversion of the Constitution, to the point of where it is being totally ignored.
The president speaks about law and order in the cities, Democratic cities primarily, and says that they are out of control, which they are not. From where I sit, our president is out of control and is not acting in any lawful manner to bring about any positive response and acceptance from the people. It is laughable when he says he wants to bring law and order to the country when he breaks laws on a daily basis.
As president he is mandated to make life better for the citizenry, not constantly doing things totally upside down. Law and order should begin at the White House, and that means that he needs to start being lawful, with actions aimed at making life better, not worse, for the American people. In his inaugural address, he was going to “give us back our country.” All I’m seeing is the country fading away. I’m waiting, Mr. President, to have my country back. How about it?
