Every day it’s the same old stuff on the news about the government shutdown and who is at fault. It doesn’t matter what network we watch. I think the conservatives should use the nuclear option and get it over with already. There are people who need their SNAP benefits and we have this petty argument each and every time our leaders in Washington, D.C., continue to kick the can down the road. 

The federal budget should be for the entire year — period! It’s been too long since we had one without a continuing resolution every time. This government shutdown has gone on way too long. It’s time for our leaders to wake up and do their jobs. Maybe they should also not get paid until they reach a conclusion that best represents the people they were elected to serve.
