Since our elected congresspeople and senators seem content to collect paychecks for doing nothing for a month, while our air traffic controllers and other federal employees receive $0 paychecks and SNAP benefits are not going to be paid for November, I think we should ask these freeloaders to donate their last month’s salary to local food banks.
I, for one, am sick and tired of the Congress not only ceding all of their power to President Trump by allowing him to unilaterally cut federally appropriated programs and to impound federally mandated funds, but also allowing millions of Americans to go hungry because they refuse to extend health care subsidies.
Given the amount of wealth they showered on the rich by ratifying the “big, beautiful bill,” The least they can do is extend the subsidies. It’s the largest upward transfer of wealth in American history. People who are not disgusted are not paying attention.
