ANSON – Frank L. Morse, 88, of Anson, died at his home in Anson on Nov. 4, 2025.

He was born on Dec. 23, 1937, in Anson, son of Jenny (Fish) Morse and Frank Morse Sr. He was married to Dorinda (Libby) Morse and later to his wife Judith Morse for more than 40 years.

Frank worked with his bulldozers on road construction and then as a logger for many years. He was road commissioner in Solon for three years. He served the Lord through Calvary Pentecostal Church in Madison as youth group leader. Then he proudly led a jail ministry for 14 years at the Somerset county jail in Skowhegan. He enjoyed outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and participating in church functions.

He is survived by his son Chuck Morse of Skowhegan, stepsons David Chessman and wife Leanne of Winslow, Mark Chessman of Korea, James Chessman of Anson, stepdaughters Deborah (Chessman) Pinkham and husband Jason of Veazie. He has nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Frank was predeceased by his wife Judith, son Robert Morse, and several cousins.

There will be a graveside memorial on Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m., at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
