Sen. Angus King has sold us out — again. He doesn’t learn from experience.
In March, King voted with Republicans to keep the government open, touting it would stop Trump administration abuses. We know how that worked out: in the tearing down of the White House, the building up of foreign dictators and in Americans being denied health care and food. Now, King has given Republicans another big win, at the expense of his constituents, country and oath to the Constitution.
Mainers have been winning against GOP lawlessness — in the courts, on the streets and at the ballot box. No thanks to Angus King, whose once respected name is now a byword for complicity in a gold-plated autocracy.
