I have been puzzled by something ever since the first presidential debate of the 2024 election, late in the summer.
President Biden did an awful job during the debate and afterward pundits, newscasters and journalists daily questioned his mental decline, age and ability to lead the country. During the campaign and up to now, President Trump has rambled on, sometimes for well over an hour, been way off topic, mixed up names and many facts and sometimes said things that are bizarre — like a child may go to school one gender and come home a different one (I’m paraphrasing) — during his campaign.
Yet, I rarely hear the above “experts” and opinion-makers questioning Trump’s age, mental decline and probable mental illness, let alone his questionable ability to lead the country. I think this is a huge double standard and free pass for him.
