Henrik Tikkanen made 29 saves to earn his second straight shutout, and the Worcester Railers beat the Maine Mariners for the first time in five meetings this season, posting a 4-0 ECHL victory Tuesday morning in Worcester, Massachusetts.
It was the third straight loss for the Mariners, who are in third place in the North Division.
Maine held Worcester to three shots in the first period, the but Railers struck twice in the first three minutes of the second period, getting goals from brothers Anthony and Drew Callin. Lincoln Hatten made it 3-0 later in the the second, then added in empty-net goal in the third.
