Miguel Marques scored two goals and Mathis Rousseau made 21 saves as the University of Maine earned a weekend split with Boston College with a 3-0 win in a men’s Hockey East game on Saturday night in Boston.
Marques scored 1:32 into the game added added a goal in the third period for the Black Bears, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Josh Nadeau also scored for Maine (8-5-1, 5-3 Hockey East).
Maine defenseman Jeremy Langlois was taken off the ice on a stretcher with 8:46 left in the third period. Langlois was hit while chasing a puck in the corner and awkwardly hit the boards.
Louka Cloutier had 16 saves for Boston College (7-5-1, 5-3).
