An explosion that occurred at a home on Lakeview Drive in Oakland on Thursday has sent one person to the hospital, according to Maine State Police.
The blast was reported at about 3:40 p.m. in the area of 20 Lakeview Drive. Police said a middle-aged man was taken to Thayer Center for Health in Waterville, and later to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
State police did not release details on the man’s identity or the extent of his injuries. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blast.
