Keegan O’Neil put up 16 points and Kaysyn Woike recorded a double-double as the Rangeley boys basketball team opened the Class S season with a 53-52 win over Temple Academy on Wednesday in Rangeley.
Woike finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kaleb Thompson also scored 13 points for Rangeley.
Timeo Lepaix led the Bereans with 16 points, while Sam Frank scored nine and Tyler Barber and Knowlen Dixon added eight apiece.
Girls Hockey
WINSLOW 1, FALMOUTH/SCARBOROUGH 1: Isabella Castner scored in the second period for the Black Tigers (0-2-1), and Alex Serbin’s third-period goal for Falmouth/Scarborough (1-0-2) tied the game as the teams played to a draw at Family Ice Center in Falmouth.
Alex Caccamo recorded an assist for the Winslow co-op.
Tessa Woodbury stopped 27 shots for Falmouth/Scarborough. Black Tigers goalie Emma Jean made 18 saves.
