FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – John Edward Fuller, 89, died Nov. 19, 2025, in Flagler Beach, Fla. after a brief illness.

John was born in Gardiner, Maine on Sept. 23, 1936, to Verne and Judith (Pratt) Fuller. John loved all sports, but his favorite was football. In 1954, he graduated from Gardiner Area High School, where he was the team captain of the Gardiner Tigers football team and played tackle.

He completed a distinguished 20 year career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served as team leader of the Black Sea Scuba Club Rescue and Recovery unit in Istanbul, Turkey, and held positions with Lockheed in Saudi Arabia and Boeing in Iran during the reign of the Shah.

John and wife, Bea, the love of his life of nearly 40 years, fell in love with Flagler Beach and made it their home.

He didn’t sweat the small stuff in life. John enjoyed the simple things like watching football, gardening, and tinkering in his garage. He was known for his happy, yet tough personality and meant the world to everyone who knew him for his kindness, selflessness, and strong moral character.

John was predeceased by his father Verne Fuller, mother Judith Pratt, and sister Shirley Fuller. He leaves behind his wife Beatrice Fuller; brothers Verne Fuller and Paul Fuller; children Jacqueline M. Richardson and Michelle M. Fuller; grandchildren Vanard Richardson Jr., Coaleena Simmons, Fe’la Dalton, Reno Richardson, and Gabriella M. Dorado; and stepchildren Debbie King-Johnson, Pamela Hall, and Roger Pottle.

At John’s request, there will not be a memorial service. A graveside burial service will take place this spring at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Gardiner, Maine. Relatives and friends will be notified.

Arrangements are under the direction of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, Flagler Beach. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home http://www.craigflaglerpalms.com.
