More than 15 years ago, marketing and events professional Lori Reynolds spent a weekend in Boothbay Harbor with her then-boyfriend. She fell in love with both the man and the town — and the couple, now married, has called Boothbay Harbor home ever since.

Where do you like to eat?
The rooftop deck at Boathouse Bistro. It overlooks our historic footbridge with views from the inner harbor to the open ocean. The lobster risotto is to die for.
Where do you go for a drink?
Boothbay Lobster Wharf on the east side because of the stunning sunsets over the harbor. It also has fantastic live music and a chill vibe.
Where do you go to connect with nature?
Boothbay Region Land Trust offers over 30 miles of completely unspoiled hiking trails free of charge, with access for all ages and ability levels. The BRLT is certainly one of our region’s most precious gifts.
Where do you go to shop local?
The Boothbay Farmers Market every Thursday on the Boothbay Commons has all local makers and growers.

What’s a hidden gem in Boothbay Harbor?
Our peninsula has too many hidden gems to count, and the options are endless, including boat rides, live music, restaurants, fish markets and so much more. For this, I’ll say taking a boat ride to the historic Burnt Island Lighthouse.
