Cony/Monmouth/Erskine/Mt. Blue/Hall-Dale/ Maranacook/Spruce Mountain/Winthrop: The Rams are coming off a 15-5 season, which included an appearance in the Class B North semifinal. The Cony co-op has a few Monmouth Academy seniors who should play pivotal roles this winter: forwards Spencer Morgan (13 goals, eight assists for St. Dom’s last season) and Kyle Lepage (10 goals, five assists), and point-producing defenseman Gabe Godbout (3 goals, 11 assists).
Gardiner/Waterville/Winslow/Lawrence/ Richmond/Wiscasset: The Tigers are young, but coach KC Johnson sees potential in the group. Remington Lamoreau (four goals, two assists), Salmon Vigue (one goal) and Brett Lambert (one goal, two assists) will play key roles for the team, which will play in Class B South this season.
Kents Hill: Justin Wentworth is the Huskies’ new coach, taking over for Bill Desmarais. Kents Hill (12-8-1) finished strong and reached the Class A state championship game last winter, but the top six scorers are now on the school’s prep team. Defenseman Ben Harriman is the top returning scorer with two goals and six assists. Forward Alex Daviau is expected to contribute, offensively and Noah Robinson will be in the net.
Messalonskee: The Eagles are poised for another strong season in Class B North after going 15-6 and reaching the regional final. Messalonskee should have a high-powered offense with the returns of Christian Salvadori (16 goals, 33 assists), Tatum Doucette (14 goals, 29 assists) and Alex Beckwith (15 goals, 16 assists). Denny Martin (five goals, 13 assists) and Parker Grant (three goals and 12 assists) are two solid options on defense, while Nathan Kirk (14-5, 2.55 goals against average and .882 save percentage) brings experience in goal.
