Kylee Savage scored a game-high 20 points to lead Winthrop to a 35-25 wino ver Mountain Valley in a girls basketball game on Tuesday in Rumford.

The Ramblers (1-1) had a 10-point lead and the half and held on for the win.

Madison Blanchard scored 11 points for Mountain Valley (0-2).

BANGOR 68, MESSALONSKEE 39: Avery Clark poured in 18 points in the first quarter, sparking the Rams (2-0) to a win over the Eagles (1-1) in Oakland.

Clark and Delaney Horr each made four 3-pointers for the Rams, who led 23-4 after one quarter. Clark finished with 29 points and Horr followed with 19.

Leah Adams and Addie Hafford each scored 13 points for Messalonskee.

MT. ARARAT 59, CONY 42: Jenna Jensen and Kayleigh Wagg finished with 14 points each, while Cali LeClair and Julianna Allen added 13 and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Eagles (2-0) over the Rams (1-1) at Topsham.

Kya Douin paced Cony with 21 points. Gabriella Vachon chipped in with eight.
