Adrianna Smith grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds and the University of Maine women’s basketball team rallied for a 63-55 win over Quinnipiac in a women’s basketball game on Sunday in Hampden, Connecticut.

Smith added 18 points for the Black Bears (4-8), who outscored the Bobcats (5-4) 40-25 in the second half. Maine trailed by 11 early in the third quarter before going on a 10-0 to pull within one. Quinnipiac answered with a 7-0 run before the Black Bears closed the third quarter with six straight points and took the lead when Lala Woods hit a 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter.

Asta Blauenfeldt added 15 points for Maine, while Woods, making her collegiate debut, added eight points off the bench.

Ella Ryan scored 17 points and Ella O’Donnell added 11 for Quinnipiac.
