There are nine voters in the Varsity Maine girls hockey poll. All nine voted for the same five teams this week. That’s a rare occurrence. To put it another way, there are no other squads that received votes. It’s just these five.

So it’s not surprising that this week’s poll looks a lot like last week’s, the only differences a swap of No. 1 and No. 2 and Brunswick joining the rankings.

All but one voter chose Yarmouth/Freeport as the top team, while the other first-place vote went to last week’s No. 1, Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland/Oxford Hills. Also, all but one team, Cheverus, received a second-place vote.

The Varsity Maine girls hockey poll is based on games played before Dec. 16, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
