For most people, the holidays are joyous and happy occasions. For some of us, they are depressing. I fall into the latter category.

On Christmas Eve, I am typically full of dread and sadness. I can’t explain this. I have experienced this since childhood. What can I do? I seek help.

We don’t have to be alone on the holidays. Talk to a therapist and to family members if possible. There is no stigma to mental illness. I learned this the hard way.
