Kirsten Bigelow scored 30 points, including the 1,000th of her career, as Valley rolled to a 78-12 win over Greenville in a Class S South girls basketball game Thursday in Bingham.

Bigelow went into the game needing 27 points to reach 1,000 and hit the milestone with three straight 3-pointers early in the second quarter, after scoring 18 points in the first.

Delia Hill added 12 points.

WATERVILLE 32, SACOPEE VALLEY 15: Hailey Snipe scored 15 points to lead the Panthers (1-4) past the Hawks (2-4) in Hiram.

Danikah Harrison added eight points for Waterville, which held Sacopee Valley scoreless in the second and fourth quarters.

Mirielle Bridges scored six points for Sacopee.

WINTHROP 36, TRAIP ACADEMY 25: Kylee Savage scored 11 points to pace the Ramblers (4-1) past the Rangers (1-4) in Winthrop.

Winthrop’s balanced scoring attack included seven points by Grace Folsom and six apiece from Kylee Mansir and Evelyn Mortimer.

Maddie Rondeau tallied 16 points for Traip.

BOYS BASKETBALL

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 42, MARANACOOK 32: Caden Frazier made eight foul shots and scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter to lift the Phoenix (3-2) past the Black Bears (5-1) in Jay.

Dylan Jewett led Spruce Mountain with 13 points.

Jack Fontaine scored 14 points for Maranacook.

VALLEY 91, GREENVILLE 18: Five players scored in double figures for the Cavaliers (6-0), led by Levi Short with 18 points, in a victory over the Lakers (2-3) at Bingham.

Valley also got 15 points from Fisher Tewksbury, 11 each from Landon Hartwell and Cameron Lay, and 10 from David Bouchard.

Landon Theriault led Greenville with 10 points.

SACOPEE VALLEY 79, WATERVILLE 55: Cooper Berkowitz scored 22 points as the Hawks (5-1) cruised past the Purple Panthers (0-5) in Waterville.

Silas Nielsen added 16 points and 15 rebounds for Sacopee, which led 23-8 after one quarter and 37-12 at halftime. Travis Brassard scored 13 points, and Payton Young made four 3-pointers — all in the first half — for 12 points.

Derek Couture paced Waterville with 25 points. Elijah Cullen and Isaac Gilman each scored nine.

MT. ABRAM 81, OAK HILL 61: Brennan Mitchell scored 14 points in the first quarter as the Roadrunners (3-3) jumped out to a 14-point lead and cruised to a win over the Raiders (1-3) in Wales.

Mitchell finished with 30 points and Killian Pillsbury added 23 for Mt. Abram. Chase Ross chipped in 11.

Braden New scored 21 points and Braden Dubuc had 12 for Oak Hill.

BOYS HOCKEY

THORNTON ACADEMY 9, PLOG 0: Trent Lesieur and Max Siebert each recorded a hat trick for the Golden Trojans (4-1) in a win over Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester (3-1) at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Jake Skillings collected two goals and three assists, while Jake Allaire added a goal and three assists.

Thornton goalie Cole Fernald stopped all seven shots he faced. Logan Rousseau made 34 saves for the Kings.
