Joel Teasdale scored his second goal of the game with 7:48 remaining, lifting the Trois-Rivières Lions to a 2-1 win over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game Friday night in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
Teasdale also tied the game in the first period, four minutes after Maine’s Alex DiPaolo opened the scoring with a power-play goal. Anthony Poulin’s empty-net goal with 57 seconds left clinched the victory.
Mariners goalie Brad Arvanitis made 33 saves. Hunter Jones stopped 27 shots for the Lions.
Before the game, defenseman Jackson Edward was reassigned to the Mariners from the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins.
Edwards, 21, has played nine games for Providence this season.
He played seven games for the Mariners last season, recording a goal and an assist, but spent most of the season in Providence.
