Bruce A. Salsbury Sr.
BENTON – Bruce A. Salsbury Sr., 74, died on Dec. 15, 2025, at his home in Benton.
Bruce was a hard worker and very social. He had been employed by his son at Grass Eaters Lawn Care and Maintenance for over 20 years. He enjoyed mud runs, motocross and drag racing, and hunting. He always had a good story to tell and a bar stool waiting for him at the Lion’s Den. His favorite drink was Coors Light, but he wouldn’t drink it if the mountains were not blue. He loved his family and taught many of them the hook shot in basketball. He enjoyed vacationing with family, he never missed the kids’ tractor pulls, and you could always find him at the VFW.
He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Dyke and husband John; his son, Bruce Salsbury Jr and wife Julie; five grandchildren: Brittani Ramirez, Alexandria Dyke, Danielle MacArthur and husband Mitch, Zachary Salsbury, and Mariah Salsbury; great-grandson, Xander; sister, Carolyn Killam; special nephew, Derek Salsbury and his son, Kaden; his beloved cat, Mary Margaret; and many other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Bernard and Mildred Salsbury Sr.; brother, Bernard Salsbury Jr.; and sister, Joyce Reynolds.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m., at the VFW, 246 Main Street, Fairfield. All are welcome.
