Bye bye, Portland! Putting up a 380-foot-tall, 30-story building in the downtown area is like sounding the death knell for Portland and its charm. Once the nose of the camel is under the tent, the future is changed. We will undoubtedly be greeted by other such buildings.
If height is important, then set those structures far back from the downtown area.
It is sad to witness the needless erosion of the attractive charm of Portland’s waterfront. I guess in the end greed and money always rule.
