The first three quarters ended in a tie before Carrabec outscored Telstar by two points in the fourth quarter to earn a 41-39 win in a boys basketball game on Monday in North Anson. 

Pete Vicniere scored 15 points for the Cobras (4-1), who outscored the Rebels (1-4) 9-7 in the fourth. 

Connor DePrey and Alex Doughty both scored 14 points for Telstar. 

GARDINER 64, LEAVITT 55: Brady Atwater scored eight of his 14 points in the first quarter as the Tigers (4-1) jumped out to a 23-12 lead and beat the Hornets (3-3) in Gardiner.
Trace Moody added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers. Brady Peacock chipped in 12 points, Nicholas McKay added 10, and Colin McCormick pulled down eight rebounds.

Colin Schlobohm netted a game-high 24 points and Darren Flagg added 16 for Leavitt.

MARANACOOK 69, DIRIGO 66: Jack Fontaine and Gage Mattson each scored 24 points as the Black Bears (6-1) earned a Class C South victory over the Cougars (3-3) in Dixfield.

Half of Fontaine’s points came on four 3-pointers.

Liam Malchisky led Dirigo with 19 points, while Owen Smith finished with 17 points.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 57, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 32: Cai Dougher scored a game-high 21 points in his return to action, leading the Phoenix (4-2) to a decisive win over the Mustangs (2-3) in Jay.

Dougher, who missed the first five games of the season, hit two 3-pointers in the opening quarter and four in the game. Owen Kelvey added 11 points and Dylan Jewett had 10 for Spruce Mountain.

Levi Laverdiere led Monmouth with eight points.

LISBON 64, OAK HILL 59: Jaxson Roy-Thompson paced the Greyhounds (4-2) with 20 points in their win over the Raiders (1-4) in Wales.

Maleek Beauimer scored 14, Braden Long added 12 points and Owen Hurd finished with 10 for Lisbon, which trailed by eight heading into the fourth quarter.

Aiden Fortin led Oak Hill with 16 points. Braden New notched 13 points and PJ Smith had 10.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ERSKINE ACADEMY 85, WATERVILLE 31: Kelsie Dunn dropped in 26 points for the Eagles (4-1) in a victory over the Panthers (1-5) in Waterville.

Kienna Morse chipped added 12 points for Erskine, while Lauryn Northrup scored 11 and Kinsey Ulmer contributed 10.

Madison Gervais led Waterville with 11 points.

GARDINER 53, LEAVITT 22: Molly Takatsu scored 13 points, along with five steals and five assists as the Tigers (4-1) beat the Hornets (2-4) in Turner.

Brynnlea Chaisson scored 11 points for Gardiner, while Alexa Quintana had 15 rebounds.

Gabby Smith had 10 points for Leavitt.

BOYS HOCKEY

GARDINER CO-OP 7, OLD TOWN/ORONO 4: Jack Collins paced the Tigers (1-2) with three goals and an assist in a win over Old Town/Orono (0-4) at Alfon Arena in Orono.

Maxwell Cornforth and Maddox Lambert each had a goal and an assist for Gardiner/Waterville/Winslow/Lawrence/Richmond/Wiscasset. Evan Barbeau and Salmon Vigue also scored in the win. Goalie Cole Arbour stopped six shots.

Noah Schneider, Jake McCannell, Ben Jurdak and Colson Leclair scored for the Black Bears. Oscar Brown made seven saves.
