Francis E. Carr
MONMOUTH – Francis E. Carr, 81, a resident of Monmouth, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on May 7, 1944, in Monmouth, the son of Maurice Carr and Irene (Crane) Carr. Francis attended Monmouth Academy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
On Oct. 6, 1974, in Chelsea, he married the love of his life, June A. Eugley and they shared 49 wonderful years together raising their family. Sadly, she passed away on June 12, 2023.
Francis worked for the Maine Department of Transportation, retiring after 44 years of service. He was a man to do everything by hand, and he enjoyed coaching T-Ball and Farm Team baseball and helping to build the ball fields. Francis was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was a member of the Maine State Employee Association.
He is survived a daughter, Terri Urquhart and husband Paul of Bangor, four sons, Steven Carr and wife Rose of Sidney, Roger Carr and wife Sherri, Gary Carr, Joe Carr and wife Leslie all of Monmouth; four grandchildren, Cody Carr, Nickolas Carr, Quinn Carr, Jaxson Urquhart; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Carr; two brothers, David Carr and wife Tryllis of Litchfield, Roland Carr and wife Jackie of Monmouth.
Francis was predeceased by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Raymond Carr and Leo Raymond.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Interment will be in the spring at the Monmouth Ridge Cemetery, Cemetery Road Monmouth.
